flutterby butterfly
because if you stay too long
you're going to get bored
don't enjoy too much of that tasty pollen
for its bound to run out
and flowers are destined to die
and your wings will one day break
and how much of this can you take

little butterfly
you are quite a beautiful thing
but when you open your mouth why do you
scream instead of sing

it sure enticing the way you fly
but when you look at me, its never in the eye

there's bigger and badder
bugs out there
and when i try to keep you safe, you just don't care
is it too much for you to bare?



i know you're going to keep on fluttering by
but stay a little longer
wont you, butterfly?
